An order enters processing only after payment is successfully authorized. Current payment availability is: No Shopify Payments card or digital-wallet method is currently enabled; only a payment option actually displayed and accepted at checkout may be used. Checkout is the controlling record for the payment option offered to a specific order.
Payment providers may authorize, review, decline, or request verification. Accurate billing details are required. A high-risk, incomplete, declined, or unverifiable transaction may be delayed or canceled. We do not store complete payment-card numbers on the policy page or in ordinary customer-service records.
A card issuer or payment provider generally controls failed payments, authorization holds, chargebacks, disputes, and currency-conversion questions. When a refund is approved, it is normally sent back through the original payment method.
